Deception Valley Lodge is a luxury lodge located in the Kalahari desert of Botswana.Its not that far from the Okavango Delta.At Deception Valley Lodge you will have the opportunity to interact with with the local Bushman who are in the area.

Its a combination of culture,scenery and wildlife.A different way to experience a Botswana Safari.

Due to its location,Deception Valley lodge you can include both the Okavango  Delta  and the Victoria  Falls into a tour package.The bird life around the Lodge is amazing,and imagine the star gazing in the Kalahari desert with nothing around you.

Deception Valley Lodge Botswana

The Kalahari is a huge land that is flat as far as you can see.It has spectacular thunder-storms,old villages,and with the rains the desert springs into action ie birds,butterflies and flowers.

At Deception Valley Lodge your guides are the local San Bushmen.

Activities include :

  • Night drivess
  • Bird watching
  • Nature walks
  • Guided walks with the Bushmen

Game in the  area  include:Kalahari lion,cheetah,leopard,giraffe,kudu, brown hyena.

You will be able to spend time walking with the local bushmen,who will introduce to you there knowledge and use of the  bush.

Deception Valley Lodge is a smaller,private and peaceful lodge that can only accommodate up to sixteen people .

6 of the 8 chalets consist of:

  • luxury twin bedded rooms
  • En-suite Victorian style bathroom,
  • an outside shower
  • private spacious lounge.
  •  hairdryer, shaving plugs and bathrobe
  • ceiling fans and mosquito nets.
  • A private mini-bar

Each of the luxury unit stand separately from the others units and have been built on stilts. They are  connected to the main lodge by wooden walkways.

The main lodge  has:

  • dining room,
  • lounge
  •  bar area
  • Viewing deck
  • A curio shop
  •  small library
  • A swimming pool
  • The boma outside eating area,dinner under a  clear African night sky
