Options for your Chobe stay are below and these can be combined as well.
If you travel between June/July through November,I would recommend 3N in Chobe,1N at a Lodge and 2N on a houseboat as the game viewing is really good at that time of year.
When staying at the Lodge or on the mobile luxury camping safari, your afternoon game activity is a river cruise,a sundowner cruise on the magnificent Chobe River.
Sunset Cruises are spectacular as you will be able to view wildlife that congregates at the water’s edge and enjoy a spectacular African sunset.
If you are on the houseboat, they tow small powerboats behind the larger houseboat and you will have the same Chobe river experience .
Chobe Chilwero bathroom
The Chobe National Park is famous for its huge herds of elephant and buffalo and magnificent star-gazing.
The great elephant gathering in the Chobe River system is the big draw card for this area. While it is not a major wilderness area,it has a real magic about it.You wildlife game view by game drives and by sunset river cruises.
DAY 3 – 5
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before you transfer to Kasane Airport.
The National Geographic documentary film,Eternal Enemies was filmed in Savute. It the story of the battle between the lions and hyena in the area.
Depart on your scheduled charter flight to Savute Elephant Lodge, situated inside the world renowned Savute are where you will stay for two nights.
Savute is known for its incredible predator activity and abundance of wildlife.
A handful of small pans sustain Savute’s thousands of animals with a permanent, yet fragile water source.
On your game drive, you could experience magnificent bull Elephants as they are common in this area. All the game drives are guided .
Upon your return to the lodge, enjoy a romantic candlelit dinner on your private deck.
As the sun sets you will watch animals drinking at the water holes situated in front of camp.
Listen to the sounds of the African night as you enjoy your delicious meal.
DAY 5 – 7
After an early morning activity and breakfast at the Lodge, you will connect with a light aircraft for your flight to Jao Lodge where you will stay for two nights.
Jao Camp has nine spacious beautiful tents, each individually handcrafted.
These twin-bedded canvas and thatched rooms are situated beneath a canopy of shady trees and have en-suite facilities,as well as an outdoor shower for the more adventurous.
Built on raised decks, each has a private sala for afternoon siestas and offers wonderful views of the spectacular surrounding floodplains of Botswana.
In addition to the lounge and dining area, there are two plunge pools and an outdoor boma for dining under the stars, complemented by wines from an excellent wine cellar.
Mekoro, boat trips, fishing, day and night game drives and birding are usually on offer all year round due to the abundance of wildlife in Botswana.
There are two platform hides in the concession.
DAY 7 – 9
Enjoy a morning activity before departing on your scheduled charter flight to the desert location of Jacks Camp where you will spend two nights.
Ten green roomy and stylish canvas tents with en-suite bathrooms and indoor and outdoor showers (for those who want to feel the Kalahari breeze on their skin) have been fashioned in classical style and are set into a palm grove creating an oasis of civilization in what can be the harshest of stark environments…
Persian rugs underfoot and cool cotton sheets form a striking contrast with the rugged wilderness viewed from the comfort of one’s own verandah.
During the wet season the landscape transforms. Clouds of flamingo and other migratory birds descend from the heavens to decorate the watery grasslands.
DAY 9
After a morning activity and breakfast, you will be transferred from Jacks Camp to Maun Airport for your onward arrangements to Vamizi Island .
Here you will spend 4N doing nothing constructively.
Vamizi Mozambique
Vamizi Island beaches have some of the best sand in the world:so fine it squeaks like icing sugar as you walk on it,so pale and clean that kicking off your shoes is second nature.
It’s as if we sift the beach every morning – the only litter you’re likely to see is shells and coral.
Island activities:
Diving, Snorkeling,Sailing,Walking, Spa,castaway picnics, hale watching expeditions, kayaks, traditional Sailing dhows.
