Northern Kruger Park Walking Safari
This 24000 hectares private Concession is located in the northern section of the Kruger National Park.It has 2 Rivers as it boundaries ie the Limpopo River in the north and to the east, and the Luvuvhu River in the south.
Being a private concession, only the game drive vehicles that belonging to the three operators, operate on the dirt roads, which adds to the feeling of this wilderness and remote area.

You can enjoy a luxury 5 Star Lodge, or a base en suite tented camp.2 different experiences Luxury or rustic camping( en suited of course so not that rustic)
The walking Safaris differ ….either we walk from the Lodge itself into the surrounding bush, this includes the areas around the confluence of the Luvuvhu and Mutale Rivers, or we drive in open air jeep to other areas within the Reserve. This allows greater flexibility dependent on the movement of the animals and the weather.
A typical day will look like,if you are staying in one of the 12 guest rooms that have incredible views over the Luvuvhu River valley. You may be lucky and have good game sightings of elephant and buffalo in the river.
After the morning walk, you will enjoy a English Breakfast.Thereafter its time to relax, maybe by the pool,or treat yourself to a some quite time. This is followed lunch and then its time for the afternoon activity.
The Afternoon walks/game drives usually end up at the scenic view points to watch a Africa sunset.
The evening Safari drive back to the lodge is a traditional night drive, a sits to dangerous to walk in the dark. With a spotlight to try spot the nocturnal nightlife,we will take a leisurely drive back to the Lodge/camp.
If you are staying at the lode, dinner is usually served on the pool deck which is lit only by lamp light.
There are no set departures for this walking Safari. We can operate it as you like.
As well meal times are also very flexible, particularly after the morning walk,as this arrival time,is largely determined by the sightings/time of the morning walk.
2) The Hutwini Walking Safari Trail
Located on a bend in the Luvuvhu River, the Pafuri Camp Lodge can provide the lodging/meals on this trail.Alternatively,we set up a en suite tented camp.
The location of the lodge provides for easy walking to the Fever Tree Forests, and or the nearby pans and Luvuvhu River floodplains,or we drive in open air jeep to other areas within the Reserve. This allows greater flexibility dependent on the movement of the animals and the weather.
The morning Safari walks begin at sunrise so we can be done before it gets to hot, while the afternoon walks end with a sundowner,as you watch a African sun set, with the sounds of the Africa Bush to keep you company.
The evening Safari drive back to the lodge is a traditional night drive, a sits to dangerous to walk in the dark. With a spotlight to try spot the nocturnal nightlife,we will take a leisurely drive back to the Lodge/camp.
There are no set dates of departure or trail duration, however a 3 nights/4 days walking safari gives you enough time to experience this majestic wilderness area.
