Zimbabwe Safaris
Somalisa Hwange National Park.
Zimbabwe is slowing emerging from its negative past to take its place again at the Africa Safari table.
Many years ago to go on a Zimbabwe Safari was regarded as one of the prime Safari viewing experiences in Africa.
Chobe National Park is a 90 minute or so road transfer away, and roughly the same time gets you to the gates of Hwange National Park or a 30 minute bush to Hwange flight is shorter.
About Zimbabwe Safari areas:
In case there is confusion regarding flying into Victoria Falls, the falls are bordered by Zambia and Zímbabwe.
Victoria Falls is the name of the town in Zimbabwe,Livingstone is the Zambian town which is on the other side.
A Zimbabwe Safari fits in seamlessly with a Victoria falls stop over and while there different levels of lodging by the falls, the grand old lady the Victoria falls hotel,Victoria Falls hotel is a favorite.
A throwback to the colonial days.Fancy tea in the gardens with the sound of the falls as a backdrop,or walk to the falls on a private path. Its a unique experience
Due to the proximity and flight availability a Botswana or Zambia Safari is also possible.
The 2 main Safari areas in Zimbabwe are Hwange National park and Mana Pools.

One can combine a tour of Victoria Falls, with a Safari in the Mana pools area,as well as in Hwange National Park.
This is a nice combination of water and land experiences, that gives you diversity of wildlife and eco systems and this is what gives a safari in Zimbabwe such value.
Sampling of Mana Pool Camps:
While Ruckomechi Camp may not be pure luxury, its close enough, and when you add in the location, and Safari activities, its a Luxury experience, and that is the main quality I look for when I design a Africa Safari.
Situated next to a private pan(water hole)Kanga Camp is a remote bush experience in the magical Mana Pool National Park.
Kanga is a solar powered camp, and works well with a Zambezi river sister camp giving you the remote bush and river safari experience.
Somalisa is an award winning tented camp in Hwange National Park.It has breathtaking views of the Savannah plains.
Located under the shade of a Acacia grove, this camp offers gamed rives, walking safaris, birding and cultural visits.
This camp has its own elephant pool which is readily visible from the observation deck.
