Day 1
Meet guests at East London Airport,or Port Elizabeth Airport.
Briefly tour East London and proceed to Mdantsane Township the second biggest township in the Southern Hemisphere after Soweto.
Experience township life,do some walking and then proceed toMgwali cultural village.
Enjoy traditional food, dancing, stick fighting and story telling. Experience the real Eastern Cape in this cultural village.
Overnite at Mgwali
Day 2:
We leave Mgwali after breakfast via Keiskammahoek to Alice.
We travel on the scenic road on the foothills of the Amathole mountain range through villages and old irrigation schemes and past Sandile Dam on to Hogsback our own Switzerland in South Africa. Expereince its water falls, and indigenous forests.
We proceed onto Fort Hare university which educated some ofour leaders today like Nelson Mandela and the present President Thabo Mbeki.
We visit theDe Beers Centenary Art Gallery with its breathtaking collection of African Art and theANC and PAC archives. We then proceed to King William’s Town to visit Steve Biko’s home and grave, and the Amathole Natural History Museum.
Overnite at Kingwilliams town
Day 3
Leave King William’s Town after breakfast and proceed to Kei Mouth.
Cross the Great Kei River by pantoon on to Centane to meet a traditional healer on the way – you can ask questions of this old healer as to his traditions, and or receive a session from him
After this ,we will visit a village clinic and visit a local rural village, where we will have a traditional lunch and traditional dancing.
We proceed onto Trenneries where we will stay overnite.
Day 4:
Leave Trenneries for Coffee bay via Mazeepa bay after breakfast.Mazeepa bay island is a fisherman’s paradise where we will cross the suspension bridge to feel the ocean breeze and here we will experience the beauty and splendor of the island and the surrounding area.
We then proceed to Coffee bay via Qunu to see Nelson Mandela’s home on the way.
Overnite at Coffee Bay.
We will overnight at Coffee Bay. Coffee Bay is a few hotels and a few stores on the wild Coast..its tranquil, deep into the traditional rural area,and incredibly scenic.
Day 5
This day free to experience Coffee Bay..
Day 6:
We leave Coffee bay after breakfast for Umtata and visit the Nelson Mandela Museum and proceed to East London to drop you off, or take you down to Port Elizabeth.
