What and where is the Eastern Cape wild coast?
The Wild Coast is the Eastern Coastal area of the Eastern Cape.
It is possibly the most scenic part of South Africa with beautiful mountains,valleys,indigenous forests that look like the Amazon rain forests,beaches,local villages,art and crafts,scenic waterfalls plunging into the ocean,warm friendly people and the heart of the Xhosa culture.
This is a privately guided tour where we combine staying at different beautiful secluded beach resorts located on the Indian ocean and the experience of the local people and culture.

Pick up at Durban airport,drive to secluded beach side comfortable first class resort,about 4 hrs away,nestled in between villages,and next to the ocean ..stay for 2 Nights….
Experience village walks,canoe trips,beach walks,waterfall trips,horse riding on the beach and or through the local villages,and of course relax and do nothing.

Drive 2hrs away to Port St Johns and settle in at yet another first class resort once again on the beach ..stop at art and craft stalls along the way,and enjoy the drive through magnificent Indigenous forests.
Experience village walks,canoe trips,beach walks,waterfall trips,horse riding on the beach or through the local village, and of course relax and do nothing.

Rural Village Eastern Cape
5th day
Drive to Umtata about 2hrs away to visit the Nelson Mandela Museum,continue South on the main highway to visit Nelson Mandela’s home village,continuing onward partly via the rural Transkei (Wild Coast) enjoying rural villages, scenic rural life, and partly via smaller country roads ending of at Alice in a local B and B .
6th day
Enjoy a visit to the historic University of Fort Hare,a local black art gallery,then drive to East London from where you will fly out,stopping along the way to visit Steve bikos home,and walk through a local shopping area for villagers.
You will leave this area filled with memories of South Africa that will last a lifetime.
If you would like to extend this trip heading further south towards the Garden Route we can do that as well.
