Table Mountain Cape Town

Table Mountain Cape  Town

Rovos Rail Train Journey.

For many visitors to South Africa, what better way to experience the country than on the RovosRail 48-hour weekly Luxury train between Pretoria and Cape Town.

This  approximately 1 600- kilometre journey is a meandering through South Africa as you will travel through the grasslands of the gold-rich Highveld, to the beautiful, emptiness of the Great Karoo, through beautiful mountain ranges,to the valleys of the Cape Winelands.

The end of the Journey’s is in Cape Town, with the imposing Table Mountain overlooking the city,or in Pretoria the Jacaranda City.

One of the  highlights of the north- and southbound routes is a  visit to the historic village of Matjiesfontein.

This is an  authentically perfectly preserved Victorian Village, founded as a refreshment stop in 1890.

The train also stops in Kimberley, where you will be able to  enjoy a tour of the city, and visit the Diamond Mine Museum and the Big Hole, the  world’s largest man-made excavation.
